I’m Still Excited – Knit Talk 2011/05/20
Spread the loveThough STITCHES South has arrived and gone in full splendor, I keep grinning from ear to ear whenever I reminisce about my adventures in Atlanta. It was not just the main events that were wonderful, but the various people I had met who made my trip memorable. The best part is that I…
Oh Gosh… I’m DYEING!!
Spread the loveI figured that there was no better way for kicking off the month of June than to attend a morning class of dyeing-your-own yarn at Fresh Purls in Providence, RI. The class was taught by the ever-cool Dani of Sunshine Yarns. I have always admired her colorway combinations and was looking forward to…
Dropping the D in Darts
Spread the loveIt was obvious from my first visit to Main-Lee that this new mistress would require more of my attention than dart league. I had no idea that the hours would command such time though. At least I can spend Mondays and Tuesdays at the London Underground and see my friends there. (Or so…

Two years? It still feels like yesterday to me, seeing this tragedy pierce the hearts of millions.
I’m glad you said something- I think I’ll give my wonderful goat vet a call- she graduated from there just a few short years before. I hope the families, friends, and everyone who was affected is able to find some peace.
I was visiting Washington DC after the tragedy and happen to be at the National Catherdral the day of the Memorial Service held there. At one of the hotel lobbys near the White House there was a memorial table dedicated to the students who died. As a visitor from California I was honored to be able to pay my respects to these young people. I hope the families are healing from their losses, though they will never forget.
