Knitting with Rockstars
Spread the loveThere is something about the term “knitting rockstar” that can make those who love yarn swoon. The idea that somebunny who is admired for his/her talent and foresight will be in the area, and that meeting him/her is possible? I am pretty much resolved to do so. When I received an email from…
Finding Time to Spare
Spread the love “Hola” my friends. Offered to all is a gratuitous bunny photo of Zydeco spooning Jessica Bunny. Feels like it has been forever since I last wrote. Granted, I have been busying away on projects on both personal and work levels. I still have no reason to neglect everyone. While home, besides my…
How Karma Ignites the Soul
Spread the loveYesterday, I met up with a new group of women at my favorite area coffee shop — Aromas at City Center — for some Sunday knitting. It turned out that one of them needed a ride to a doctor’s appointment for this morning. For some odd reason without hesitation, I offered to take…
Family, Friendship, Food, and Football
Spread the loveThis past holiday weekend was full of a different sort of F-bomb, the kinds that are enjoyed by many (I heard that there are, *GASP*, folks who dislike this wonderful game). Two years? It still feels like yesterday to me, seeing this tragedy pierce the hearts of millions.
I’m glad you said something- I think I’ll give my wonderful goat vet a call- she graduated from there just a few short years before. I hope the families, friends, and everyone who was affected is able to find some peace.
I was visiting Washington DC after the tragedy and happen to be at the National Catherdral the day of the Memorial Service held there. At one of the hotel lobbys near the White House there was a memorial table dedicated to the students who died. As a visitor from California I was honored to be able to pay my respects to these young people. I hope the families are healing from their losses, though they will never forget.
