Being Light but Pensive
Spread the loveLike everyone in the world, I have many faces and hats. I began blogging years ago on LiveJournal to keep a personal diary, and still use it to catch up on various groups of interest. I have such a gamut of loves: Classic Ford Mustangs, surfing, rugby, MLB baseball, American football, automobile racing,…
Why TNNA Has a Powerful Draw
Spread the loveA week ago I was leaving Columbus, OH after having a fabulous time at The National Needlearts Association‘s Summer Session. The reasons for being there were work-related, but that did not mean I could not enjoy myself either. Many folks have asked me about what exactly happens at TNNA and what goes into…
My 3 Words for 2014
Spread the loveSince meeting Chris Brogan in August 2009 at PodCamp Boston, I have been inspired by his use of “3 Words” for that year. His 2013 list including the words from 2006, are in his last January 1st post. My own three words through the past four years have been: 2010 – Acknowledgment, Care,…

Two years? It still feels like yesterday to me, seeing this tragedy pierce the hearts of millions.
I’m glad you said something- I think I’ll give my wonderful goat vet a call- she graduated from there just a few short years before. I hope the families, friends, and everyone who was affected is able to find some peace.
I was visiting Washington DC after the tragedy and happen to be at the National Catherdral the day of the Memorial Service held there. At one of the hotel lobbys near the White House there was a memorial table dedicated to the students who died. As a visitor from California I was honored to be able to pay my respects to these young people. I hope the families are healing from their losses, though they will never forget.
