More Deep Breaths

Spread the love

We are taking this lifebreak opportunity to update you on some recent events and to remind you of future ones. Included in this entry: WIPs/FOs, baseball, and the BKOAC… Let us begin!

First and foremost, the Boston Knit-out and Crochet event for 2006 will begin in the Bandstand Gazebo area at 12PM sharp. I am in charge of the Bloggers’ Table, so I do hope a lot of you in New England will stop by, say “Hello” and possibly knit/crochet with me. Icarus will be with me (blocked or unblocked, I have not decided yet) and I might be crocheting up my Favorite Baby Q&F Blanket pattern (Q&F = Quick and Fast = Q hook with 2 strands of worsted yarn).

I must apologize for not being able to post a photo of the wonderful couples we met during Wednesday night’s game on my last post. Kathy and Rob made the night so fun; so much so that Rich and I are talking about getting tickets so that we can see them on the Monster again! I love it when you can go somewhere and meet folks who have the same (if not more) passion for the game of baseball. I always believe you learn something everyday. One of the items I learned that night was the location of the only stand that sold Mike’s Lemonade. 😉 And for those who might recall the homerun that sailed out of the park that night… While it was soaring over Rich, Kathy and Rob’s heads, I was gabbing away with the other recipients of Jeff’s Red Sox tickets — Anthony and his wife Carole. These newlyweds are just as crazy over baseball as we are!

Next the bunnies… Caesar is chubby (and hungry) as always, Julius still mischievous (and getting chased for it), Jessi willingly shows that she is as territorial as ever, and Zydeco has been acting more like a cuddly ewok instead of an angry one.

Finally, my WIPs and FOs. Well, I finally had it with the giant oven mitts I created out of the smokey blue Cleckheaton Gusto-10. I frogged them and knitted up a scarf and 8-inch square. Both are for the BKOAC. Because they are already packed, I promise to take pictures tomorrow of them along with the unblocked Icarus and half-finished “Children of the Lir” stole. For now, good night and I hope to see some of you tomorrow today! =:8

  1. Those mittens are great!!
I am terribly sorry to tell you that life has conspired against me going to the knit/crochet out. I am disappointed beyond belief but I do believe not going is the right thing to do today.
I will be there in spirit!!!
    xo

  2. I see a treat ball…did you get the buns another one. I went looking for one at Petco. They had ones for cats and dogs, but I wasn’t sure they would work for buns.
