Heroes
Spread the loveI normally refuse to discuss television shows because my taste varies from sports, Scooby Doo cartoons, to history/DIY/food to (ahem, you will sooo laugh) “Murder, She Wrote” to Dr. Phil’s talk show, and finally CSI. Mixed in that group is a new series, “Heroes” which features complete strangers who have these individual powers….
Late from Stowe
Spread the loveNote: I apologize that this entry was created when I did not have internet access. Please bear with me while I write about the weekend for the next couple of days. When Lisa and Jason had become engaged last year, I knew that their wedding was going to be unique and fitting to…
The Divine Kristin Nicholas
Spread the loveLike all hobbies and interests, the knitting world has its rockstars and celebrities. One of our most famous is Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, aka author and writer of “The Yarn Harlot” blog. I have a little journal that I use to jot down notes, ideas, and patterns that roam around in my head. The front…
Family, Friendship, Food, and Football
Spread the loveThis past holiday weekend was full of a different sort of F-bomb, the kinds that are enjoyed by many (I heard that there are, *GASP*, folks who dislike this wonderful game). Two years? It still feels like yesterday to me, seeing this tragedy pierce the hearts of millions.
I’m glad you said something- I think I’ll give my wonderful goat vet a call- she graduated from there just a few short years before. I hope the families, friends, and everyone who was affected is able to find some peace.
I was visiting Washington DC after the tragedy and happen to be at the National Catherdral the day of the Memorial Service held there. At one of the hotel lobbys near the White House there was a memorial table dedicated to the students who died. As a visitor from California I was honored to be able to pay my respects to these young people. I hope the families are healing from their losses, though they will never forget.
