A Perfect Autumn Day for Cathy’s Wedding
Spread the love Last Saturday, our friends Cathy and Dave were united in marriage at the Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown, RI. The gorgeous blue sky seemed like a sign of approval from Above, and the weather’s crisp air reminded everyone that autumn had arrived. Unfortunately, Rich and I did not grab good seats…
Something to Boot
Spread the love This week has been difficult for me with the horrible murders on Monday. Between the bawlings and hysterics, I managed to fit in some happier moments to distract me. No, work does not count! 😉 First there are the “big swaps” of Secret Pal 10, Knitters Treat Exchange, and Sockapalooza. While reading…
Weighing Sock Yarn and a Shawl
Spread the love From the mail yesterday, I have in my possession a hank of sock yarn that I was drooling over since “Knitting by the Sea” Lisa flashed it as part of her Rhinebeck haul contest. It is Blue Moon Fibers’ mediumweight Socks that Rock in the Rhode Island Red colorway. After seeing it…

Two years? It still feels like yesterday to me, seeing this tragedy pierce the hearts of millions.
I’m glad you said something- I think I’ll give my wonderful goat vet a call- she graduated from there just a few short years before. I hope the families, friends, and everyone who was affected is able to find some peace.
I was visiting Washington DC after the tragedy and happen to be at the National Catherdral the day of the Memorial Service held there. At one of the hotel lobbys near the White House there was a memorial table dedicated to the students who died. As a visitor from California I was honored to be able to pay my respects to these young people. I hope the families are healing from their losses, though they will never forget.
