Gracious GOOD-ness!!
Spread the loveI am glad a number of you participate in charity knitting. I am guilty of knitting alternately for friends, family and charities. My in-laws seem to dislike receiving handmade items because wool is itchy and knitted items too warm (sorry, mute point so we cannot go there). So I figured that I can…
Clunking around Gracefully
Spread the loveToday while I drove back from Yarnia to get that last hank for finishing Rasha’s Icarus, I realized that I needed to get a more stable exercise habit. Granted, there is “Walk and Knit” at Borders and yoga at FocuspointRI, but at $12 a session, yoga is expensive over my little yarn budget….

Spread the love**I cannot believe that a month THREE MONTHS have sprinted by me again. As much as I love setting deadlines, to quote roughly of Erma Bombeck, “They just whoosh on by.”** During those three months, a few wonderful events occurred, and I will be writing them as backtracks in the upcoming month. Also…
Amy Singer Plays at WEBS
Spread the love For weeks I have been anticipating Amy Singer’s lecture on September 24th and her lace class on September 25th to WEBS, which is proudly touted as the world’s largest yarn shop. To those folks who are curious, Amy Singer is the founder and publisher of the online magazine (“e-zine” in many circles)…
NASCAR Knitting
Spread the loveLast year, Rich took me to a NASCAR race in Loudon, NH. Skeptical, I went knowing that the drive would mean great knitting time. I cast on and finished a pair of worsted weight cabled socks using Classic Elite Inca Marl Alpaca which reminded me of a checkered flag. I do not remember…

Two years? It still feels like yesterday to me, seeing this tragedy pierce the hearts of millions.
I’m glad you said something- I think I’ll give my wonderful goat vet a call- she graduated from there just a few short years before. I hope the families, friends, and everyone who was affected is able to find some peace.
I was visiting Washington DC after the tragedy and happen to be at the National Catherdral the day of the Memorial Service held there. At one of the hotel lobbys near the White House there was a memorial table dedicated to the students who died. As a visitor from California I was honored to be able to pay my respects to these young people. I hope the families are healing from their losses, though they will never forget.
