The Wonderous Big City
Spread the loveWhen I sat down the afternoon before Stephanie’s book event, I had a detailed plan on what to do at what time. The visions of last year’s escapades were delightfully haunting me and I wanted to repeat them. The Imagine Mosaic beckoned me to stand in its center in hand-knit socks. Times Square…
Oh Gosh… I’m DYEING!!
Spread the loveI figured that there was no better way for kicking off the month of June than to attend a morning class of dyeing-your-own yarn at Fresh Purls in Providence, RI. The class was taught by the ever-cool Dani of Sunshine Yarns. I have always admired her colorway combinations and was looking forward to…

Not only does this conference mark my first anniversary of being with XRX, Inc. as a full-time employee, but it also brings back memories of last year’s fun by celebrating my debut with then-newlywed Jessica and birthday-girl Lauren. Two years? It still feels like yesterday to me, seeing this tragedy pierce the hearts of millions.
I’m glad you said something- I think I’ll give my wonderful goat vet a call- she graduated from there just a few short years before. I hope the families, friends, and everyone who was affected is able to find some peace.
I was visiting Washington DC after the tragedy and happen to be at the National Catherdral the day of the Memorial Service held there. At one of the hotel lobbys near the White House there was a memorial table dedicated to the students who died. As a visitor from California I was honored to be able to pay my respects to these young people. I hope the families are healing from their losses, though they will never forget.
