Inspiration Begets Perspiration
Spread the loveFirst and foremost, I must regretfully announce that the Boston Knit-out and Crochet Too for 2007 is not happening this year. It was a difficult decision, but with the lack of high-level sponsorship, the Board Members decided that it was best not to risk spending what little money we had into making the…
Making Eggs – Part 2
Spread the loveAs of late I have been dipping my foot (well, okay more like diving in head first) into areas that I have not been in touch with for years. My taking up of throwing darts has been a nice challenge. I find myself improving each week in every league match, and concentrating on…
A Long Post about 7 Days of Yarn Shops
Spread the loveYes, you read correctly — one ENTIRE week! I have been known to be obsessive compulsive. And my Secret Pal 8 Spoiler must know so, because she sent me this fantastic postcard. I did not find it until recently when I had dug into the pile of snail mail (all our statements are…
The Beginning of an End
Spread the loveOfficially Secret Pal 9 endsed last week on the 15th 31st. However, I am disappointed with its ending because I truly enjoyed communicating with both my Spoiler and Spoilee. Two years? It still feels like yesterday to me, seeing this tragedy pierce the hearts of millions.
I’m glad you said something- I think I’ll give my wonderful goat vet a call- she graduated from there just a few short years before. I hope the families, friends, and everyone who was affected is able to find some peace.
I was visiting Washington DC after the tragedy and happen to be at the National Catherdral the day of the Memorial Service held there. At one of the hotel lobbys near the White House there was a memorial table dedicated to the students who died. As a visitor from California I was honored to be able to pay my respects to these young people. I hope the families are healing from their losses, though they will never forget.
