Celebrating the Holidays (Part 2 of 2)
Spread the loveI know, I know. I am HOURS late. Call it my re-discovering of “Filipino Time” when certain folks arrive late so as to make a dramatic entrance. I did have great reasons though. Specifically FIVE (3 people and 2 dogs). And if the photos are not displaying, that is due to my not…
Facing Fears on Fridays
Spread the loveI know I am reiterating a past post with this topic, but I have become quite cynical and untrusting enough to leave my home except for “safe” places. I figured rewriting about these fears will help me overcome them… Have you ever been afraid to try something new? The “something” can be as…
Kolding Calling
Spread the loveI was at the early stages of writing this post from the city of Kolding in rainy cold Denmark. Why was I in Europe? For a business trip — no more words necessary on that one. 😉 Being the “knitting obsessed” sort of person I am, I had contacted my co-worker’s wife (and…
More Thanks to Give

Two years? It still feels like yesterday to me, seeing this tragedy pierce the hearts of millions.
I’m glad you said something- I think I’ll give my wonderful goat vet a call- she graduated from there just a few short years before. I hope the families, friends, and everyone who was affected is able to find some peace.
I was visiting Washington DC after the tragedy and happen to be at the National Catherdral the day of the Memorial Service held there. At one of the hotel lobbys near the White House there was a memorial table dedicated to the students who died. As a visitor from California I was honored to be able to pay my respects to these young people. I hope the families are healing from their losses, though they will never forget.
